The brief
We wanted to turn Claire’s quirky, whimsical illustrations into something people could wear and collect, at a price that made them easy to buy for themselves or to give. The badges had to feel like a quality object rather than throwaway merchandise, and be made from materials we were happy to stand behind.
The outcome
The result is a series of wood-mounted badges made from quality, environmentally friendly wood. Each one carries one of Claire’s illustrations. They’ve proved popular, and some designs in the series have already sold out. The heart pin was created for Art from the Heart, a fundraising project that supports education for Rotorua’s ICU and CCU nurses, so it brings a small piece of Claire’s work to a good cause.
