It begins with the first bird
It begins with the first bird, who wakes and sings then another and another by the time natures alarm clock wakes me from my dream laden slumber it’s a chorus. Now it’s a soft tinkling as they quieten.

We’re Glenn and Claire, two artists with very different gifts and one shared heartbeat. Glenn is a designer and creative problem-solver. Claire is an illustrator and writer. Arteries is where our work flows together.
at the heart of it
We named it Arteries because art isn’t something we switch on for work. It runs through how we live, what we notice, where we travel, and the dinner conversations that turn into projects.
Sometimes it flows separately. Glenn helps people work out the right problem, then makes it real, whether that’s a brand, a book, a product or a digital tool. Claire creates her own painting, illustration and writing. You can work with either of us directly.
Sometimes it flows together. We design and publish our own books, calendars, badges and prints. We also take on projects that need both of us, like a book pairing Claire’s illustrations with Glenn’s design. From 2027, we’ll welcome people to The Escape Artist, our beach bach, for retreats and workshops.
Everything we make starts as a scribble on the back of a receipt and ends up somewhere you can touch it.
